  • After installing this update, when connecting to devices in an untrusted domain using Remote Desktop, connections may fail to authenticate when using card authentication smart. You might receive the prompt “Your credentials did not work. The credentials that were used to log in to [device name] didn’t work. Please enter new credentials. and “Connection attempt failed” in red.

This concludes our brief overview of this month’s Patch Tuesday updates, and we hope that by reading the above changelogs you will make a more informed decision on whether to update or not.

However, keep in mind that if you choose not to update for too long, you risk exposing yourself to later malware attacks that usually follow Patch Tuesday updates, known as Exploit Wednesday.

However, if you’d rather wait for Microsoft to fix issues found in this month’s updates, know that you can always choose to delay the update notification you receive for up to 35 days.

Overall, it’s important to remember that Patch Tuesday updates are released for a reason, so installing them, eventually, is something you should do.
