GaN Systems’ head office and engineering center in Ottawa has grown threefold and is expected to grow to 200 employees in the coming year. With the recent opening of a new design center in Dallas, Texas, the company doubled its overall workforce in 2021 in Asia, Europe and North America. It is set to double again in 2022.
These milestones follow three years of exponential growth, the 3X expansion of its Taiwan office, and a $150 million growth capital financing led by Fidelity Management & Research LLC with participation from strategic investors such as USI, Vitesco Technologies and BMW. These achievements are testament to the momentum of GaN and the strong growth profile that is expected to continue in the years to come.
