College of the Canyons invites young soccer players from across the Santa Clarita Valley to participate in the Youth Soccer Community Development Program, which will run from April 13 to June 4, 2022.
Open to boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade, the eight-week academy will be led by COC soccer coaches and comprised of intercollegiate soccer players from the men’s and women’s soccer programs.
The COC’s Youth Development Program offers a high caliber curriculum that creates a unique and fun learning environment for players who wish to develop and improve their soccer skills. By combining skill-based training sessions, player-centered drills and small-scale games, the program emphasizes player skill development with an emphasis on building player confidence. young soccer players.
Eight Wednesday night practice sessions will be accompanied by two Saturday game dates, with each game date consisting of two matches. All training sessions and game dates will take place at the COC’s football facilities located on the college’s Valencia campus, featuring a state-of-the-art FieldTurf Revolution 360 playing surface and full infill system with LED stadium lights.
Proceeds directly support the COC’s women’s soccer program.
The 2022 Community Soccer Youth Development Program will take place on the following dates and times:
