Tezpur University to Host Food System Design Event

The Department of Food Engineering and Technology at Tezpur University to organize a 5-day AICTE Academy (ATAL) sponsored training and learning program on approaches to materials science and engineering for Food System Design December 20-24. .

In order to guarantee food safety, an intelligent approach is required, in particular the (re) design of production chains. Rethinking diet and food systems is a responsibility and an opportunity for social, economic and environmental justice.

Leading subject matter experts from Tezpur University, other educational and industry institutions in India and abroad, as well as researchers from prestigious academic institutes, will lecture on topics related to systems approaches for food design, such as recent advances in food engineering, electric field technology, ultrasound. technology, modern nutraceuticals, innovations in drying and quality assessment, and nanotechnology.

The FDP is open to all faculty members, researchers and PG students from various government or private engineering colleges / institutions / universities in the field of food process engineering and related fields.

There is a maximum of 200 seats, and eligible participants will be selected on a first come, first served basis.

Electronic certificates will be issued to participants who will have a minimum of 80% attendance and have obtained a minimum of 60% of scores in the online test taken at the end of the program.
